Job Description:
FULL-TIME DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS: Division of Law, Education and Social Professions (Non-Unit Professional Position) Anticipated Start Date: September, 2009
Oversee the degree programs in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle and High School Education by hiring and supervising faculty, advising students, conducting/supporting program reviews and assessments, revising curriculum, creating and managing budgets, and facilating partnerships with K-12 schools and other community organizations. The Director also participates in college-wide initiatives, supervises the Center for Careers in Teaching, and assists in the transfer process of students to four-year colleges.
Requirements:
Must have a Masters Degree in Education or related field, experience teaching in Massachusetts Public Schools, familiarity with requirements for Massachusetts Teacher Licensure and demonstrated leadership skills. College (especially community college) teaching or administration preferred.
Additional Information:
Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 per year (commensurate with education and experience)
with complete fringe benefits package.
